The two driving tests you'll need to know about are the theory and practical.

The practical being the main 'driving test'.

You have to pass the theory test before you can take your practical driving lesson test. It's a Nottingham computer based test split in to two sections: A multiple choice test and the hazard perception test.

The first part tests your knowledge of road markings, signs and how to use the roads properly and safely. The hazard perception section will test your ability to recognise hazards on the road and react quickly to these hazards.

The practical driving test is the final test you will have to pass to obtain a full drivers licence. I won't go into too much detail as I'm sure most already know all about it!

It consists of a 40 minute drive, accompanied by a driving instructor/examiner that will be assessing your use of the road, the car and general driving ability. You must also complete 10 minutes of independent driving and one manoeuvre to pass the test: reverse park either in a bay or at the road side, reverse around a corner or a turn in the road. Your examiner on the day will choose which one, unfortunately!

Once you've passed your driving test, a pass plus driving lesson course in Nottingham can help build your confidence with different driving conditions and motorway driving.

Pass plus is a great thing to do once you've passed your driving test. Not only can it build your confidence after passing your test, it can also lower your insurance premium when you buy your own vehicle.

Pass Plus consists of six practical modules which cover driving in town (great for busy Nottingham traffic), in all weathers, on rural roads, at night, on dual carriageways and on motorways. You can take it at any time within the first 12 months of passing your test.

Another advantage of the pass plus course is that there's no driving test at the end! You simply have to complete all the modules successfully throughout the course.

Im a highly experienced, fully qualified and D.S.A. approved driving instructor. I was trained by one of the largest national driving instructor schools in the UK. I have taught the essential skills of driving to people from many walks of life. I was even chosen to teach blind people how to drive for a charity day!

My driving instructor career started when i was about 8 years old racing go-karts. Something which i still enjoy today. Needless to say, i couldn't wait to get to 17, pass my driving test and get myself a set of wheels!

Since then i have driven many different types of vehicle giving me a wide range of experience both on and off the road, which includes driving on race circuits such as Silverstone and Donington, rally driving, driving off road through rivers and mud in Land Rover's and even stunt driving on 2 wheels!

As well as a Nottingham driving instructor, i am also passionate about music. At the weekend, i'm a DJ and i can regularly be seen mixing it up in bars and clubs in Nottingham.
